Chip or Treat with the Cats at Tabby’s Place

If black cats are your favorite part of Halloween, Tabby’s Place has just the treat for you.

On Saturday, October 26th, from 12-4pm, Tabby’s Place will host Chip or Treat, a free microchipping clinic and scrumptious celebration of the sanctuary’s 16th anniversary.

Since October 2003, Tabby’s Place has been a cage-free, no-kill haven for cats from hopeless situations. The one-of-a-kind sanctuary embraces kitties regardless of age, most medical issues, or temperament, making it a harbor of hope for the most desperate.

Cats and dogs alike will be welcome at the free microchipping clinic. Microchipping can mean the difference between heartbreak and happy reunion if a pet should run away. Tabby’s Place is offering this service at no cost, as a thank you for the community’s generous support over the past 16 years. Pre-registration is required by 10/23 at http://microchip.tabbysplace.org/.

But chips are just one of many treats on offer at this festive family celebration. Guests, who are encouraged to come dressed in costume (pets too), will also enjoy self-guided tours of Tabby’s Place, complete with trick-or-treating with the cats for kids; delicious fall refreshments; and a costume contest, with prizes for best adult, child and pet costume.

Best of all, pet lovers will celebrate 16 years of saving the neediest members of our community…and help support the next 16 and beyond. Guests at Chip or Treat are encouraged to treat the Tabby’s Place cats with donations to the sanctuary, which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

As always, over 100 lovable cats will be available for adoption at Tabby’s Place during Chip or Treat.

For additional information, please contact Tabby’s Place Director of Sanctuary Operations Danielle Rice at dr@tabbysplace.org or 908-237-5300 ext 450.
