Acoustic Café in Pottersville on April 6, 2019 - 7:30-9:30
Saturday, April 6th,Pottersville Community House will feature artist Chip Mergott for their monthly Acoustic Café . Chip was discovered by Bonnie Raitt, and subsequently signed to a major label early in his career. He recently released his 18th record “I Can’t Stop Myself” (available on iTunes) on Notebook Records, one of the country's longest running independent labels, which he founded. He’s been teaching music privately in Hunterdon County, N.J. and Bucks County, P.A. for over 20 years, and has recently authored his first book “How to Play the Guitar in One Hour.”
He’s also known for his musical tributes to both James Taylor and George Harrison, and his instrumental album “Hymns for Acoustic Guitar.”
Doors open at 7:30. Refreshments, including coffee, soft drinks, and desserts are all on the house. There is no cover charge but donations are appreciated. The Acoustic Cafe is held in the Community House, right in the heart of Pottersville, at 2091 Black River Road (directly across from the Pottersville Church).
