MWA Geocaching Camp
Join MWA on Saturday, July 27th for a one-day Geocaching camp. Geocaching uses your smartphone to find ‘caches’ with small prizes that have been hidden in nature. This camp is particularly family-friendly, offering a way to engage your kids in the natural world through a fun, shared activity. You’ll learn the basics at the River Resource Center in Asbury and then carpool with us to an established caching site in Warren Glen. There are more than 3 million registered geocaches hidden in more than 190 countries, and our camp leader, Brian Lubbert, has found over 6,000 geocaches in 40 countries and hidden over 200 geocaches himself. He has used his expertise in GPS technology to hike the highest 35 peaks in the Catskills including summits which requires GPS and orienteering skills to safely navigate severe terrain. There will never be a better opportunity to try out geocaching!
Class size limited. $45. Register by calling 908-537-7060.
