Lambertville Goes Wild Native Plant Sale

Lambertville Goes Wild is sponsoring a native plant sale on Saturday, September 7, 10 am to 2 pm, at Cavallo Park, 2 Mount Hope Street, Lambertville. Wild Ridge Plants and Toadshade Wildflower Farm will be selling an array of perennials, shrubs, trees, and vines. Representatives from Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve and the Hunterdon County chapter of the Native Plant Society of New Jersey will also be on hand for information and advice. Plus, Lambertville Goes Wild will be partnering with Lambertville’s Recreation Commission to plant 35 shrubs in the park during the sale. The first 35 visitors to help plant will receive native plant seeds as a thank-you.

In July Lambertville became the 125th community in the country and the fourth in New Jersey to be certified as a Community Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. Lambertville Goes Wild will continue outreach and education efforts promoting wider use of native plants, a key element in supporting local wildlife, particularly imperiled pollinators such as butterflies and bees. More information is available at LambertvilleGoesWild.weebly.com and on the Lambertville Goes Wild Facebook page.
